Foundation Guidelines

All applicants must be 501C3 organizations or institutions. We will occasionally fund projects outside the USA that address trafficking and violence against women.

Our priority is to fund programs and projects with a majority representation of women and/or girls, where the aim is to help people help themselves.

We fund direct service work, advocacy, and training.

We will grant a minimum of 5% of the corpus annually.

We will award grants from $10,000 to $50,000 annually.

We will not do re-granting.

We will award no general, unrestricted support, research or planning grants.

We will award restricted grants only; project or specific program support and seed money grants will be awarded.

Scholarships will only be awarded on a partial basis; no full scholarships will be awarded.

We fund primarily where our Directors reside; namely San Francisco, Chicago, and Santa Fe.

We will make grants from one to three years. In exceptional cases, we will consider five-year grants.

We do not accept unsolicited proposals.

Evaluation decisions will be made during the month of October.

Award checks will be mailed during the month of November.
